I am a classically trained pianist and musician, an active performer since I was just 8 years old. I started my stage journey right away as a soloist, accompanist and collaborative pianist performing regularly and developing a wide and versatile repertoire through all these years.
I began my music education at the age of 7 in my hometown Olawa but two years later, noticed by a representative of a prominent school in Poland –the Karol Szymanowski Music School in Wroclaw, I was transferred there. I stayed at that school until my high school graduation, led by a legend of polish piano pedagogy, prof. Janina Butor. For my further piano studies I chose the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan which I graduated with Master of Arts Degree. At the time I also completed Instrumental Pedagogy Studies, gaining the diploma of a fully qualified teacher. After obtaining the degree in Poland I decided to continue my professional education in the USA at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, studying with Prof Min Kwon, current Chair of Keyboard Studies. I graduated the University in 2010, receiving Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance.
Through all years of my education I developed my piano skills also by participating in numerous solo and chamber music master courses in Poland, Czech Republic and the USA led by, among others, professor Min Kwon, Andrzej Jasinski, Halina Czerny-Stefanska, Tatiana Szebanowa, Alexiey Orloviecky, Victor Mierzanov, Vladimir Viardo, Oxana Yablonskaya, Lee Kum Sing, Marc Clinton, Robert Ward, Vadim Mazo.
During my studies at Rutgers University I also worked there as the Department Assistant, instructing Class Piano I and II as well as teaching piano individually and accompanying vocal and instrumental graduate students.
At the same time I had the opportunity and honour to work with my teacher- Prof Min Kwon, not only as a student but also as her Personal Assistant. That gave me the chance to participate in organizing exceptional concerts and events, among others, The Mendelssohn 200th Anniversary Celebration in Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York, The Grieg Extravaganza in Steinway Hall in New York or concert series of Around the World with Mason Gross, taking place in many renowned concert halls around New Jersey.
After returning to Poland, for over three years, I had worked at the Wroclaw Opera as a repetiteur, vocal and choir coach, gaining new experience as well as a broad range of new pianistic, musicianship and performance skills. I have earned there a wide opera repertoire embracing works from all eras with particular emphasis on contemporary music.
In the 2014/2015 school year, before moving to the UK, I worked as a piano teacher, examiner and accompanist at the 1st Degree Music School in Domoslawice, Poland. In June 2015 I was granted the rank of Contract Teacher which is an official step up on the way of a teacher’s professional promotion process in Poland.
My passion is working with young people, introducing them to the world and beauty of music. Developing their creativity, imagination, awareness, understanding and love of music to enable and encourage them to explore the music by themselves and discover more and more.
